Carl Ikeme continued between the sticks for Wolves as they continued life in the Npower Championship, he posted a good performance as they drew 1-1 with Derby County. Kelvin Etuhu was on from the start for Barnsley who were trashed 5-1 by Brighton & Hove Albion. Dan Shittu was an unused sub for Millwall who lost 3-2 to Sheffield Wednesday. Super Eagles captain Joseph Yobo was on from the start and posted a solid performance in their 3-0 win over Gazientepspor. Unknown youngster Gideon Sani started for Akhisar Belediyaspor in their goalles draw with Genclerbirligi fro whom Ekhigo Ehiosun was unlisted. Power playing forward, Micheal Eneramo was on target in the 28th and 33rd minutes in Sivasspor's 3-3 draw with Mersin. Ex youth international, Nduka Morrision Ozokwor came on at half time for Mersin. Kalu Uche played from the start for his new club Kasimpasa in their 2-1 win over Karabukspor

Anthony Ujah was unlisted in Mainz's 1-1 draw with Freiburg in the opening weekend of the bundesliga, Recuperating Chinedu Obasi was expectedly not listen as Schalke drew  2-2 away to Hannover 96

Brown Ideye put the disappointment of not scoring in the UCL in midweek to bang in a goal for Dynamo Kiev in a 3-0 rout of Chornomorets. Taiye Taiwo started the game for Kiev, YusufAyila was missing due to injury.

Belgium

Michael Uchebo came on as a 58th minute sub for Cercle Brugge but could not prevent his team going down 3-0 at home to Lierse. Emerging youngster Imoh Ezekiel continued his rich vein of form by adding another goal to his tally for the season as Standard Liege defeated KV Mechelen 3-2.
Derrick Ogbu was substituted in the 81st minute in OH Leuvens 1-1 impressive draw with Anderlecht. Kennedy Nwanganga was an unused sub for Genk in their 2-0 win over Zulte-Waregem

John Utaka was on the losing side as defending Ligue 1 champs Montpellier were defeated 1-0 by Olympic Marseille right in front of their home fans. Simon Zenke debuted for his new team Nancy albeit on a losing note. He came on as a late sub as Toulouse picked up the three points away from home. Apam Onyekachi was not listed for Rennes

Ahmed Musa was among the goals for his team CSKA Moscow ran out 3-0 winners over Krylya Sovetov, Ahmed Musa who has been invited for the Liberia game scored the 3rd goal in the rout. Victor Obinna Nsofor was once again a sub as Lokomotiv Moscow lost 3-2 to Dinamo Moscow.
